Join the Club

We have finally joined the "Blog Club" after seeing so many other cool blogs out there. Also this will serve as a nice repository for family history purposes. So let's jump into it.

We had a wonderful day yesterday. An entire Saturday with absolutely no plans. Extremely rare for this small family of two. We can't even imagine what it will be like when there are more than two of us. We did usual Saturday stuff like exercising, grocery shopping, and taking naps. Jon went off gallivanting in the mountains and found some wonderful biking and running trails on the north side of Carvin's Cove. We also worked on a bunting for our little baby boy that we are expecting in October. Saturday night we played games with our friends the McConnells.

Our most recent big adventure was our trip to Philadelphia last weekend. It was perfect-we couldn't have asked for more. We were able to spend lots of time with Jon's sister Katie and her husband Glen. We saw the King Tut exhibit, ate Rita's water ice, ran on Forbidden Drive (a favorite old running trail), visited with old roommates, ate Rita's water ice and had a barbecue. We also saw Pirates of the Caribbean and the shops in Manayunk. Unfortunately the game store that we went to Manayunk looking for had gone out of business. Guess we'll just have to order Power Grid online.

On the steps of the Franklin Institute where we saw the King Tut exhibit.

What a great idea. I loved reading about your weekend and your trip and seeing your wonderful "Alex is pregnant" photo. I miss you two (three).
